Swap Published in Points, Charged in Account Currency · Indonesia
A swap (or rollover) is the interest debited or credited when you hold a leveraged position overnight.
Open FxPro Account →A swap is published as a number of points per lot, and points are not money until they are multiplied by what one point is worth on that instrument. It is the same arithmetic that turns a spread into cash: contract size times the smallest price increment, expressed in the currency the instrument is quoted in. That is why the table below carries two figures in every row — the raw points a specification gives you, and the cash per standard lot they come to for one night. The charge itself applies only to a position still open past the daily rollover, the rate depends on the instrument and on whether the position is long or short, and Wednesday nights carry triple swap to cover the weekend value date. Eligible clients can hold a swap-free (Islamic) account, which carries no overnight swap interest at all.

What you are debited (−) or credited (+) per standard lot held past the daily rollover, measured on FxPro’s own MT5 Raw+ feed (with the raw points in brackets). A negative number costs you to hold; a positive one pays you. Triple swap is applied on Wednesday night to cover the weekend value date. Carry / yr is the annualised swap yield (swap × 365 ÷ notional at the live price) — a rough guide to what holding the position costs or earns over a year, shown where we have a live price. |---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EUR/USD | $17.90 | $71.30 | $276.00 | $7.10 | −$4.30 | −$48.00 |
| GBP/USD | $16.10 | $34.70 | $106.00 | $17.20 | $42.40 | $139.00 |

| USD/CAD | $8.26 | −$1.46 | −$38.72 | $15.70 | $50.62 | $184.48 |
| USD/JPY | $4.55 | −$21.43 | −$121.02 | $26.43 | $131.73 | $535.38 |
| XAU/USD (Gold) | $89.90 | $497.30 | $2,059.00 | −$5.00 | −$167.00 | −$788.00 |
Total net cost to hold one standard lot over time — the spread plus accumulated swap. A positive figure is what it costs you; a negative one means you come out ahead (positive carry). For example, holding EUR/USD long for a month costs about $276, while a EUR/USD short earns about $48. Based on measured spreads and current swaps — rates vary.

Open FxPro Account →Points are a unit, money is the result
A specification never states an overnight charge in your balance currency, because it cannot know the currency or the size. It states points per lot, which is the instrument speaking in its own unit. Turning that into money takes the same two inputs as any other cost on this site: how many units one lot controls, and how much one minimum price increment is worth in the quote currency.
Read the two columns in the table as before and after, not as alternatives. The points column is what the broker publishes and what stays comparable across accounts; the cash column is what the same night does to a standard lot once the conversion is applied.
The same night, two instruments, two different bills
Two symbols can carry an identical points figure and still produce very different debits. Contract size is the first reason — a lot is 100,000 units on an FX major and is defined per ounce on a metal. The quote currency is the second: a point of a yen-quoted symbol is born in yen, and a point of a Canadian-dollar-quoted symbol in Canadian dollars, before anything reaches a dollar balance.
This is why comparing overnight costs by their points alone ranks instruments in an order that the account statement will not reproduce. Convert first, compare second.
Scaling it to the size you actually trade
Everything published per lot scales linearly with volume, which makes the smallest tradable size a useful sanity check: the minimum order is 0.01 of a lot, so whatever the table shows for one standard lot, the minimum position moves a hundredth of it per night. If that number looks negligible, the position is small; if it looks material, the holding period is doing more to the result than the entry did.
The same multiplier applies to the entry half of the bill on our spreads page, so both halves can be scaled to a real position with one number and then added together in cash.

What traders report
Only two traders in the feedback we hold say anything about swaps at all, and both are position holders rather than day traders: one has carried short GBP/USD and EUR/USD since November with the overnight cost staying out of his way, the other runs swings on a swap-free Islamic account and never meets the charge. Nobody in the set mentions metals — so for gold, the measured nightly figure on this page, not a review, is what to plan around.
FxPro doesn't charge high swap commissions. I've been holding short positions on gbpusd and eurusd since november.
I'm a swing trader, so for me the spreads is just nice and acceptable with 0 commission, they offer Islamic swap free.
